Barrett brings 15+ years of legal experience to the mediation table. He knows what family law cases turn on and how to acquire cooperation in line with what the Court is likely to do anyway. Prior to that, he learned about human behavior and conflict resolution as a police officer, including training in crisis intervention. He spent years as a prosecutor, most of which were dedicated to crimes against women and children. He knows how to deal with trauma and cases involving family violence. In 2025, he left traditional litigation after feeling called by God to help families resolve disputes peacefully through mediation for the sake of their children and their mental health.
